‘Fantastic Penguins introduces students to some key facts about Penguins, where they live, their behavior and the six ‘locals from Aotearoa’.
Students read and discuss the Level 3 School Journal article, ‘Fantastic Penguins’, and then ‘think sustainably’ as they learn and explore deeper thinking about the impacts introduced predators, habitat loss and climate change are having on Penguin survival by sequentially working through the student project sheet. Potential solutions and a path forward are found through discovery, discussion and application in the learning process itself.
