‘Kaupapa Kereru’ introduces students to some key facts about Kereru – the New Zealand Wood Pidgeon – and the threats they face.
Students read and discuss the Level 3 School Journal article, ‘Kaupapa Kereru’, and then ‘think sustainably’ as they learn and explore deeper thinking about our environment by sequentially working through the student project sheet. Potential solutions to the threats Kereru face and a path forward are found through discovery, discussion and application in the learning process itself.
