Description
Students read and discuss the Level 3 May 2017 School Journal article, ‘New Boots’ a story about Charlie and Jason who hike into a hut with their Scout Leader. Along the way, Charlie engages in bullyish behavior towards Jason.
Students think sustainably as they learn and explore deeper thinking about the people involved in the bullying process, their respective feelings, actions and consequences. Potential solutions and a path forward towards both bully free behavior and resilience to bullying are found through discovery, discussion and application in the learning process itself as students work sequentially through the student project sheet.
