Students read and discuss the Level 2 August 2018 School Journal article, In Memory – First World War Memorials an article about First World War Memorials in NZ, their purpose, legacy and type.
Students think sustainably as they learn and explore deeper thinking about War Memorials in general and the impact and legacy both war and their memorials leave us. Potential solutions and a path forward towards a more sustainable sense of purpose and unity are found through discovery, discussion and application in the learning process itself as students work sequentially working through the student project sheet.
