Students read and discuss the Level 2 November 2016 School Journal article, The Polish Refugee Children an article about Ali MacKisak’s journey to NZ from war stricken Poland.
Students think sustainably as they learn and explore deeper thinking about Refugees, where and why they came here and the challenges they face settling into NZ. Potential solutions and a path forward towards understanding and inclusiveness are found through discovery, discussion and application in the learning process itself as students work sequentially working through the student project sheet.
