‘Up the Pipe’ introduces students to some key facts about ‘wastewater’, its’ composition and how it can have a negative impact on our natural environment. Alternative products and their ingredients are explored through research and experimentation.
Students read and discuss the Level 3 School Journal article ‘Up the Pipe’ and then ‘think sustainably’ as they learn and explore deeper thinking about product choice by sequentially working through the student project sheet. Potential solutions and a path forward are found through discovery, discussion and application in the learning process itself.
