Description
Students read and discuss the Level 3 November 2020 School Journal article, ‘All As One’ an article essentially about Islam and Muslim New Zealanders.
Students read the text and then think sustainably as they learn and explore deeper thinking about what Islam is, what it means to its followers and how the beliefs of Muslims compare with other religions. Potential solutions and a path forward towards religious tolerance, understanding and inclusiveness are found through discovery, discussion and application in the learning process itself as students work sequentially through the student project sheet. The activities in this lesson complement the Level 2 August 2013 article Ramadan Is Coming.
